Why does our soap sit on a shelf for weeks before you get it? True soap starts as oils and lye, poured into molds. The bars are cut, then left curing for about four to six weeks. As they rest, the reaction finishes and extra water evaporates. The result is a harder, milder, longer lasting bar. Good soap is worth the wait.
