Made without
Our Beauty Oil is a careful blend of seven oils: jojoba, sweet almond, avocado, castor, rosehip seed, prickly pear seed and vitamin E. A touch of essential oil makes the ritual feel special.
Jojoba closely resembles the skin's own sebum, so the blend absorbs comfortably and leaves skin looking replenished and soft.

Good to know
Seven oils, nothing to hide
A good facial oil does not need fillers, silicones or a long list of hard to pronounce ingredients. Our Beauty Oil is a blend of seven oils plus a touch of essential oil. Each one is there for a reason, and together they leave skin looking soft, dewy and replenished. Because it contains no water, there is nothing for bacteria to grow in and no need for synthetic preservatives.
A closer look at the blend
Jojoba oil
Technically a liquid wax, jojoba oil closely resembles the skin's own sebum. That is why it sinks in comfortably and suits a wide range of skin types.
Sweet almond and avocado oils
Sweet almond oil is light and silky. Avocado oil is richer and adds a cushioned, nourishing feel for drier skin.
Castor oil
Castor oil is thick and glossy, and a small amount gives the blend a smooth glide.
Rosehip seed oil
Rosehip seed oil is a vitamin rich favorite for helping skin look even, smooth and bright.
Prickly pear seed oil
Prickly pear seed oil is one of the most treasured oils in facial care, prized for its light, velvety finish.
Vitamin E and essential oils
Vitamin E is an antioxidant that helps protect the delicate oils from going stale. A touch of essential oil makes the daily ritual feel special.
What we leave out
- No mineral oil, a common inexpensive base in mass market facial oils.
- No cyclic silicones that create a slick feel without nourishing.
- No synthetic fragrance, no parabens and no BHA or BHT.
Who it is for
The Beauty Oil suits normal, dry, mature and combination skin, and many people with oily skin enjoy jojoba based oils too. It contains sweet almond oil, so skip it if you have a tree nut allergy. If your skin is very reactive, patch test on your inner arm for a day or two first.
How to get the most from it
Less is more. After cleansing, while skin is still slightly damp, warm 2 to 4 drops between your palms and press them gently into your face and neck. Applying oil to damp skin helps it spread and feel lighter. Use it morning or night, on its own or over your usual moisturizer. In the morning, follow with sunscreen. Keep the bottle tightly capped and away from heat and sunlight so the oils stay fresh.
Questions about Beauty Oil
Can facial oil clog pores?
Some oils are heavier than others, and everyone's skin responds differently. Jojoba is often well tolerated because it resembles skin's own sebum. Start with just two drops on clean skin and watch how your skin responds over a couple of weeks. If you are prone to breakouts, a dermatologist can help.
Should I use face oil before or after moisturizer?
Either can work. Many people press a few drops into damp skin as their final step, or over moisturizer to seal it in. Others mix a drop into their moisturizer. In the morning, sunscreen should always go on last.
Is facial oil good for oily skin?
Many people with oily skin enjoy a light facial oil, especially one built on jojoba. Applying a small amount can help skin feel balanced rather than tight. Use just one or two drops at night at first and adjust based on how your skin looks and feels.
How long does a bottle of facial oil last once opened?
Plant oils slowly go stale over time, especially with heat, light and air. Keep the cap tight and store the bottle somewhere cool and dark. If the oil develops a sharp, sour or crayon like smell, it is time to replace it. Vitamin E helps the blend stay fresh.

The story behind the ingredients

Jojoba Oil: The Plant Oil That Mimics Skin's Own Sebum
Jojoba is not really an oil at all but a liquid wax from a desert shrub, and its structure resembles part of your skin's natural sebum. Here is why that matters.

Rosehip Seed Oil: Vitamin Rich Facial Oil
Rosehip seed oil is rich in essential fatty acids and natural carotenoids, which makes it a favorite facial oil. Here is what it can do, what is overstated, and how to use it.

Prickly Pear Seed Oil: The Desert's Luxury Facial Oil
Pressed from the tiny seeds of cactus fruit, prickly pear seed oil is light, silky, and naturally rich in vitamin E. Here is what it does and how to buy it wisely.
