Made without

Our All Day Deodorant balances hard and soft oils with arrowroot powder, baking soda, bentonite clay and activated charcoal, plus a blend of high grade essential oils that help keep odor in check.

It has passed every sweaty exercise test we have put it through: you still smell good at the end of the day. Perhaps the best part is what is not in it. No aluminum, no synthetic fragrance, no parabens.

Ingredients
Plant oils and butters, Arrowroot powder, Baking soda, Bentonite clay, Activated charcoal, Essential oils.
How to use
Warm a pea sized amount with your fingertip and apply to clean, dry underarms. A little goes a long way. If your skin is sensitive to baking soda, patch test first.
Good to know
Handmade in small batches, so color and scent can vary slightly from batch to batch. Patch test any new product, and stop use if irritation occurs. For external use only.

Aluminum free, and tested the sweaty way

Our All Day Deodorant is a balm style deodorant made from plant oils and butters, arrowroot powder, baking soda, bentonite clay, activated charcoal and a blend of essential oils. We put it through every sweaty exercise test we could think of, and at the end of the day it still kept us smelling fresh. It is a deodorant, not an antiperspirant: it works on odor and helps absorb moisture, but it does not block sweat.

What each ingredient does

Plant oils and butters

A balance of hard and soft oils gives the deodorant a smooth, spreadable texture that melts at body temperature and feels conditioning on underarm skin.

Arrowroot powder

Arrowroot is a soft plant starch that absorbs moisture and helps underarms feel drier.

Baking soda

Baking soda helps neutralize odor. It works well for many people, but it can irritate some skin. Please patch test first, and if you notice redness or itching, stop using it.

Bentonite clay

Bentonite clay absorbs moisture and gives the formula a silky feel.

Activated charcoal

Activated charcoal is highly porous and helps absorb moisture and odor.

Essential oils

A blend of high grade essential oils gives a clean, natural scent and helps keep odor in check.

What we leave out

Who it is for

People who want an aluminum free deodorant with ingredients they can recognize, and who are comfortable with natural sweating. If your skin is sensitive to baking soda or you have had reactions to natural deodorants before, test a small amount on your inner arm for a day or two before using it on your underarms.

How to get the most from it

Apply to clean, completely dry underarms. Warm a pea sized amount with your fingertip and rub it in until it disappears. More is not better: a thin layer works best and is gentler on skin. Avoid applying right after shaving, when skin is most easily irritated. If you are switching from an antiperspirant, give yourself a few weeks to adjust. Our guide to switching to natural deodorant explains what to expect.

Questions about All Day Deodorant

Why does natural deodorant make my armpits red or itchy?

The most common cause is baking soda, which is alkaline and can irritate some people's skin. Applying too much, or applying right after shaving, can make it worse. Patch test first, use a thin layer on dry skin, and stop if irritation appears. A dermatologist can help if it continues.

Is aluminum free deodorant the same as antiperspirant?

No. Antiperspirants use aluminum compounds to temporarily reduce sweat. Aluminum free deodorants do not stop sweating. They help manage odor, and ingredients like arrowroot, clay and charcoal help absorb moisture. You will still sweat, which is a normal body function.

How long does it take to adjust to natural deodorant?

Many people notice a transition period of a few weeks after stopping antiperspirant, when sweat and odor can feel stronger for a while. It varies from person to person. Applying to clean, dry skin and reapplying midday if needed can help during the switch.

Does activated charcoal deodorant stain clothes?

Used in a thin layer and rubbed in fully, a charcoal deodorant usually does not leave noticeable marks. Too much product can transfer to light colored fabric. Let it absorb for a minute before dressing, and wash shirts as usual.
